How to Stencil:

I have stenciled very large rooms.
Yet, this small desk was my hardest stencil job to date!
*When you buy a stencil make sure there are over-lapping parts so you can easily align your pattern.

I recommend starting in the center of your object and working your way out.
You'll notice I began by stenciling the middle of the desk.

This was my first time to use a stencil that didn't over-lap. It took me a few tries (painting and re-painting) and a level to get it right. I used the level to keep the stencil straight and overlapped the stencil myself. The pattern is far from perfect but it is hard to tell where it overlaps.

I was grateful to have learned this helpful stencil lesson:
without having spent a lot of money on a stencil
on a smaller job (i.e. not working on a large room)

Have you ever stenciled anything?
What do you think about zebra print?

It looks great! I probably wouldn't have liked the zebra print as much if it were done with black and white, but the soft blue shade is lovely.
WOW! That looks amazing, nice job!
