The past couple days we have been working sooo hard doing a kitchen remodel. We bought our current house in June 2011 so its been over a year now and while we have updated most of the house, we had yet to tackle the kitchen which was VERY outdated!! We really didn't have a whole lot to spend on it but we wanted to at least give it a little update to hold it over until the day when we can afford to replace all the cabinets and appliances. But for now here is the plan...
- Painting Cabinets
- Replacing Hinges and adding handles
- Painting Countertops
- Replacing sink and faucet
- Replacing Over the Range Microwave
- Bleaching tile
- Adding Kitchen Island
- Adding Cabinet Storage
Painting the cabinets was the biggest part and we finished putting them all back in late last night. I just have to do a few touch up paints and those are done. We also got the sink in and have one coat on the countertops. My family (husband, parents, sister and brother in-law) who are absolutely a HUGE help were at my house late last night getting all of this done. I seriously could not have done any of it without them. Oh and they also said "I better see my name on the blog for this" HAHA. awww... The life of a blogger :)
I can't wait to show you the before and after pictures of the kitchen already its crazy the difference but I have to wait until its fully done to do big room shots and comparisons. So for now I will give you a sneak peek from what I have been posting with my phone on Instagram...
