Things You May Want to Know About Me

So you may not recognize me, but I am a pretty important person...Think the "most interesting man in the world" and then realize the Dos XX's guy doesn't have anything on this lady ;). 

I am the girl who makes a classroom full of rambunctious teens grow silent with one glare.  Problems elude me.  Reese Witherspoon secretly wants to be me and morning breath doesn't plague my mouth. 

Well, maybe I am not quite all those things, but I like to think I am a pretty entertaining person and I have tons to say in this world, so I started my blog BlissfulVida by Nicki G. The Blissful Wife. I write about life, love, food and much more. 

This month, I had the honor of sponsoring the inspirational Melissa and her not so ordinary wifey ways ;).    I relate so much to her and the positive light she shines on our not-so-positive world!  This super wonderful new friend of mine gave me the opportunity to introduce myself to you lovely fans and I am really looking forward to getting to know you better.

1.  I used to stalk The Backstreet Boys as a teen.  My girlfriends and I wouldn't only attend any and all local concerts, we would also find out where they were staying and wait in the lobby for pictures and autographs. 
2. I met my beloved husband on eHarmony and since then it has been fairy tale come  true every single day of my life.
3. I have had the same best friend since I was fifteen and I love her dearly.
4. I can't wait to one day have children of my own but the thought of it still scares me half to death. 
5.  I have a tendency to call 911 whenever I feel threatened or in danger, but thank God up to now- they have all been false alarms.  Example- Once when I was 20, I thought I was home alone. My parents had just left and my brother was at a ball game.  So, of course, when I get out of the shower and hear the kitchen cabinets opening and closing, I climbed out the window, run to the neighbors and call the police to report the dangerous burglary in progress.  As the SWAT team prepared to break down the door, I call my dad to tell him we were being robbed, at which time he loudly and with explicits I shall not mention, informed he was the in fact the perpetrator as well as the homeowner, forcing him to come out with his hands up.  I have never lived that one down.  
6. I have the most precious 3 ½ lbs Chihuahua daintily christened Molly Marie G. (something has to stay private ;)
7. I’m a damn great cook and a whiz at creating flavorful culinary masterpieces but I can’t make anything I cook look “pretty”.  The unappetizing appearances completely contradict the delicious tastes.  
8. I have some learning disabilities and was called ‘stupid’ by a teacher, but I never let that get to me.  I graduated with a Masters in Exceptional Student Education and Reading from a very prestigious university.   
9. My academic struggles inspired me to enter the classroom. 
10. I aspire to one day be a stay-at-home mom and wife, all the while being a successful writer.
