While I am away this week on the disney cruise, this entire week will be filled with Disney Stories from some amazing bloggers! So make sure to come back and get your disney fix for the week! You can find my cruise itinerary and all the specifics on this post I wrote here.
Today the ship will be porting into San Francisco. Even though we live around San Fran and visit VERY often, I have never experienced San Fran by driving up in a big 'ol Disney Boat. Haha
And here is the Disney Story for today:
There's A Squirrel In My Pants: A Disney Love Story
Actually, there was no squirrel in my pants, but since the highlight for The Boy's Disney trip was meeting Phinneas and Ferb, I thought I'd open with one of Candace's show-stoppers.
I have to say, I'm completely jealous of Melissa this week: sailing the high seas Disney-style. Could anything be more wonderful? Don't think so. My own Disney journey took me 41 years to realize. I didn't vacation there as a child {my parents thought places like Washington, DC and Bangor, Maine were more culturally enriching}, and my one attempt at heading there with a friend during senior year spring break fell apart. So when my husband and I decided to take my son earlier this year and booked the trip, I'm not sure who was more ready to wear the Mickey ears: me or The Boy.
That place is divine. It IS magical and wondrous and fun. Characters come to life and even the most cynical of us can't help but smile at that. Each time The Boy approached a character to ask them to sign his autograph book, I'd well up, because I just knew his sweet li'l heart was soaring at that moment, meeting friends like Lightning McQueen, Woody, and Buzz Lightyear. He kept hugging them like he hoped to transfer all the love his tiny little body could hold right over.

So enjoy every minute of magic, Melissa, as you sail the sea; it's the perfect way to celebrate 7 years together! Oh, and by the way, I actually did see a squirrel toward the end of our stay, and was so overcome by the Disney magic at that point, I half expected him to sit back on his wee little hind legs and sing.

Aww. Great story. I LOVE the pic of the Boy hugging phineas!!
Thank you so much, Rebecca ... that pic is now framed in The Boy's room. I guess I'd be the same way ... if it were Bono, that is. :)
