How did you start blogging?
I started blogging because I was ready to get healthy and live a way better lifestyle. I’ve been married a little over a year and when my hubs, Chris and I got married I was a HORRIBLE cook so we mostly ate out then after racking on 15 pounds we both decided we needed to change things. That’s when Skinny and Delicious was born. I’ve learned A LOT about cooking and cooking healthy at that! It helps me be accountable for what I’m eating knowing that you guys are waiting for a new and delicious recipe. I’ve lost 30 pounds and have a lot more to go but I’m so excited I started this blog and hope to help people like I’ve helped myself.
How did you come up with the name of your blog?
I took me forever to come up with a name I wanted something that was catchy and people would notice and love. I needed something that really showed what my blog is about. I had about 3 different names and asked all my friends and family which they liked the most and of course it was Skinny and Delicious. I’m so glad I picked it, it’s really what my blog is about!
What is your favorite sweet treat?
Mmm I love anything sweet! I’m a big chocolate and ice cream person! I could eat ice cream everyday but I know I shouldn’t. But since its summer I’ve been making/eating a lot of my Very Berry Pops and Peach Pops.
What is one thing that drives you in life?
Knowing I can do it. Since I’ve started my journey on losing weight, cooking healthy and working out I’ve learned a lot about myself and now that I’m 35 lbs down I know I can do what I put my mind to. It’s an amazing feeling that I feel about myself.
If you had the chance to meet any celebrity who would you choose?
It would probably be Rachael Ray! I love her and all her shows. In college her 30- minutes meals were my go to show. I never cooked her recipes but I loved watching her. Now I watch her talk show ever morning. She has amazing looking recipes and it a great person that gives back. I would love to cook with her one day. I can only dream.
Now head on over here and say HI!
