Yes, it's true my husband bought me a Canon Rebel T3i this week and I'm sure you have all heard about it because I have been so excited I tweeted it, put it on Facebook, you know the checklist you go through to announce something awesome happening in your life?
Since I am the "over-researcher" I went to Barnes & Noble even before I had the camera in my hands and came home with two GIGANTIC books on the camera and photography. I am a little overwhelmed to say the least but I am having fun learning a little at a time.
I received the camera today in the mail and as soon as I opened it up I started taking some pictures. Since I do not know what all the buttons are for YET (I will soon, hopefully), I shot a whole bunch of pictures on auto mode. And WOW, it is so impressive. I already fell completely in love with this camera.
I have been borrowing my sisters camera for a while working on my photography skills, and so we are both excited to do some photo shoots with people. We have two coming up within this next week. My two cousins are graduating so we are taking their Senior pictures.

I am currently reading Complete Photography by National Geographic. There is a lot of great tips in this book! Then I just got a big ol' David Busch book that is specific on the T3i, this one is a bit overwhelming because its so big, but I guess it's good information.
